Presumably listed as catalogue number 417 bis., pier, quay, wharf, sea (seascape), Cuxhaven, A monochrome sketch showing a waterfront scene with a long, dark wooden pier extending from the right toward the center, a blocky pierhead structure with vertical planks in the foreground, and a small rounded boat moored at the lower left with a thin plume of smoke rising from a short smokestack; the water surface is rendered with horizontal, textured strokes, the distant horizon shows low, indistinct shapes and masts, and the sky is filled with sweeping, crosshatched lines and soft, cloud-like forms.
