Several open coffins and wooden planks rest on uneven flooring, some tilted and stacked. Exposed skeletal remains lay within the foreground coffin, including a skull and ribcage. Additional bones and fragments are visible in other coffins and on the floor. Two round metal rings hang on the wall near the back of the chamber, each attached to short straps or fixtures. Light and shadow are indicated by dense and lighter strokes across the surfaces, and the scene contains scattered debris and folded cloth draped over some coffins.
