Cabinet in the style of Louis XIII, from the collection of Christopher Beckett Denison, page, photomechanical print, number: '1868', c. 1880 - in or before 1885, paper, Woodburytype, height 195 mm x width 121 mm, Print on third unnumbered page after page 178., ornamental cupboard (wood and other phytogenic material), A tall ornate wooden cabinet photographed against a plain backdrop, featuring multiple stacked sections with carved moldings and decorative inlays; the uppermost portion has a rounded pediment with a circular carved medallion flanked by scroll-like ornaments and small balustrades, below which are rectangular panels with intricate scrollwork and floral motifs; the central section displays a recessed arched panel filled with elaborate symmetrical foliage and foliate patterns surrounded by fluted pilasters and framed drawers and panels bearing carved ornament; the lower section includes two large recessed door openings bordered by patterned inlay and narrow vertical columns of repeated decorative motifs, all resting on carved paw feet and showing a consistent palette of dark wood tones and lighter inlay contrasts throughout.
