The left side shows ornate stone corbels and recessed doorways while the right side features a decorative stone canopy with pointed arches and a small sculptural figure beneath it. Shadows fall across the steps, where a few people are seated or standing, and narrow shopfronts and awnings line the lower portions of the buildings. The street appears sunlit toward the top of the stairs and darker in shadow near the bottom.
