Along the lower left foreground there are reclining and seated partially nude figures looking up, their hair long and flowing, and a tangled branch with leaves extends from the left. In the background a pale, misty expanse fills the upper portion with faint, ghostly human shapes and flowing drapery among cloud-like forms, and a tall, shrouded standing figure appears at left within the mist. Rocks, sparse vegetation, and a small group of animals or birds on the lower right rocky ledge complete the foreground.
