The lower section shows three large pointed doorways with carved tympana and decorative niches above, multiple narrow lancet windows higher up, and rows of sculpted figures in recessed panels. Broad stone steps lead up to the entrance, bordered by balustrades and lamp posts, with smaller staircases and fenced curved landings at the sides. Adjacent buildings and a street are visible at the edges of the image.
