In front of the main house a horse-drawn carriage is parked near a courtyard area and a few trees stand nearby. Surrounding the buildings are cultivated fields and garden plots with visible rows of plants, separated by narrow paths and low fences. A line of trees and hedgerows runs across the middle distance, and beyond them open flat farmland stretches to the horizon under a pale sky. The foreground consists of a large textured field with low vegetation and a dirt track leading toward the buildings.
