The lower scene shows a row of four standing figures on similar ground and backdrop, all dressed in matching long-sleeved tunics and loose trousers, wearing rounded caps and carrying long rifles with bayonets and large packs on their backs; their stances are upright and they hold the rifles vertically in front of them. The overall page shows margins and printed captions beneath the lower image.
