The telescope consists of a cylindrical body with a flanged end and an attached crosspiece that forms an X shape with the main tube. Riveted metal plates and bolts are visible along the curved mount and support structures. A handwheel is visible near the center of the image, and a ladder with horizontal rungs appears along the left edge. The background shows a ribbed dome interior with radial lines and struts, and a padded or covered bench or platform is visible on the right. The image is framed by a margin of lighter paper.
