In front of the building there is a garden area with bare shrubs and small trees, and a solitary deciduous tree with twisted branches stands left of center. Near the foreground a figure in light clothing sits on the grass beside a small dog. At the far right a greenhouse or glass-roofed structure adjoins the main building. The sky above is pale and mostly clear.
