Pulpit, La chaire du prieur de grandson, page, photomechanical print, photographer: MA Vautier, cliché maker: Jules Royer, c. 1887 - in or before 1892, paper, collotype, photoprint, height 201 mm x width 91 mm, ambo, chancel, A tall intricately carved wooden chair or pulpit with ornate gothic detailing fills the frame, featuring a canopy with pointed arches and openwork tracery, carved figures and foliage motifs on the upper panels, and two central vertical panels each containing a carved standing figure within arched niches; flanking columns and side panels bear additional sculpted figures and decorative patterns, the lower section has arched carved panels and a bench-like base, and the piece stands on a stone floor with parts of surrounding stone architecture and seating visible at the sides.
