NY', maker: unknown, c. 1892 - in or before 1897, paper, autotypie, height 104 mm x width 191 mm, the stage and its equipment, A large outdoor scene on a raised platform shows a corrugated rectangular structure with an open doorway on the left and a scaffolding-like frame on the right supporting a curtained backdrop and a small enclosed area. Several people are present: one person leaning out from the doorway of the corrugated structure, a few individuals standing or seated on the platform near the frame, and two seated figures inside the framed area near the backdrop. The platform rests on visible metal beams and rails with wheels and mechanical elements beneath and around it. A plank crosses part of the platform in the foreground, and a tall angled pole or boom rises from near the center toward the right. The overall image has a grainy, monochrome appearance.
