The portraits depict people wearing clerical or historical clothing such as robes, caps, and collars, with varying hairstyles and head coverings; some faces show older features, some younger, and a few wear distinctive headgear. The grid is organized into rows and columns separated by pale vertical and horizontal rulers, and there is a decorative header area at the top and a decorative footer band at the bottom, all printed in the same sepia palette. The overall image has an aged, textured paper appearance with subtle discoloration and a consistent vintage engraving style.
