Each illustration shows a central standing figure wearing a helmet and a sleeveless garment with a diagonal strap across the torso, a seated figure near the foreground looking up, and another standing figure partially visible at the edge; rigging lines of the ship cross the images diagonally and the sea with sailing boats appears in the background. The background around the four images is off-white with a textured paper appearance and there is a block of printed text beneath the images, including a short line of text directly under the lower right illustration and additional lines of smaller text near the bottom edge.
