In the foreground three men and a small rowboat are at the river edge; one man stands on a rock with one foot raised, another stands in the boat wearing a hat, and a third is seated in the boat leaning forward. Reflections of the figures and the boat are visible in the smooth water. The image has a light, slightly faded tone and a pale border around the edges.
