Two figures at the left wear puffed sleeves and caps with plumes; one holds a round lute-like instrument across the lap while the other leans forward with a cup. At the center a woman with a coifed hairstyle and patterned bodice faces a bearded man in a cap who holds a cup and leans toward her; a standing figure in a tunic holds a large goblet and points at an open book on the table. At the right a figure seen from behind wears a helmet with a plume and holds a long staff or rod, sitting on a cushioned bench beside a large rounded pitcher on a plinth and a goat head mounted on the wall. The table surface shows an open book and two small round objects, and the benches and floor are rendered with dense crosshatching and wood grain textures.
