Numbered twice lower left: 21., The Illustrated Bartsch 59, Bartsch 59-1(2), printmaker: Master of the Dice, Italy, after design by Michiel Coxie (I), c. 1530 - c. 1560, paper, engraving, intaglio printmaking technique, engraving with plate tone, height 200 mm x width 225 mm, A black and white engraving shows a group of partly draped figures arranged on a stepped platform in front of tall vertical columns and heavy drapery; on the left a standing figure seen from the back raises an arm holding a bundle while wearing flowing robes and a belt, another figure leans forward supporting a limp, partially clothed body whose head is held by a seated figure with a calm facial expression, and two figures on the right sit and recline on draped furniture with one reaching toward the central group; detailed line work renders muscle, fabric folds, curtain pleats, and architectural elements, and a narrow band of decorative panels runs along the bottom edge.
