To the left a windmill with long sails stands behind a cluster of low buildings and trees, their foliage rendered in loose, textured lines. Reeds and grasses edge the foreground beside a small, partially drawn boat at the water’s edge. The distant horizon features low hills and a faint spire, while the sky is left largely empty with scattered speckled marks.
