The foreground includes the outlines of adjacent buildings and sloped roofs with visible tiles and eaves, and a smaller cupola with a rounded top and cross sits on one of the lower roofs. The sky is filled with sketchy, diagonal hatch marks and light swirling lines, and the whole image is rendered in fine, dark pen or etching strokes on a light background.
