This series comprises virtually the artist's complete oeuvre and consists of 48 prints, mainly designs for ceilings., agony of Christ, three (or eleven) apostles sleeping, A detailed ink drawing shows a scene with clouds and figures on a textured background. In the upper right, a winged figure holds a large wooden cross and looks toward the center, surrounded by billowing clouds. Near the center-left, a seated figure with draped robes and an expressive face is embraced from behind by a smaller winged figure; both are partly enveloped by clouds. Below them, reclining robed figures lie on a rocky, shaded ground with visible folds in their garments and heads turned in different directions. Crosshatching and fine lines create shading throughout the sky, clouds, robes, and rocky foreground.
