In the foreground a crowd of figures in flowing drapery are arranged across the scene, including seated and standing adults and several children with rounded faces; one seated older man with a beard cradles a child at his side while other children cluster and reach toward a standing male figure on the right who holds a shallow bowl. A row of three women in draped garments stand at the far left near the base of the columns, two of them looking toward the central group. Above the scene, a cluster of billowing clouds contains two winged putti and a reclining partially draped female figure who leans forward. The figures display varied expressions and gestures, and the ground is indicated by crosshatching and linear shading throughout the composition.
