The surface of the vase is covered in detailed painted scenes and decorative borders, showing stylized clouds, tree branches with foliage, architectural elements like roofs and open-sided pavilions, and numerous small human figures engaged in various activities. Bands of ornate patterning encircle the neck and lower rim, and there are framed cartouches with small pictorial motifs near the shoulder. The image is in a monochrome sepia tone with even lighting and a narrow neutral border around the photograph.
