The figure wears a light-colored hooded robe with long flowing sleeves and holds an open book resting on a small lectern or stand, one hand touching the pages. A long staff or rod with a textured top rests against the figure’s shoulder and extends upward. The background inside the arch is dark and speckled, with visible wear and mottling, while the arch and surrounding border show scratches, scuffs, and spots of discoloration. The outer margins are light and plain, contrasting with the darker interior of the panel.
