The men wear doublets, capes, plumed hats, hose, and boots, and several hold spears or swords while one figure near the left holds a flag with a draped cloth. In the background there are faint mountainous forms and palm-like trees, and on the far left a rocky outcrop with small seated figures. The scene is framed by a wide faded border with rounded top corners and a narrow decorative vine pattern along the bottom edge.
