Her wavy hair is parted in the middle and probably pinned back in a bun (condé). The bench on which she is sitting is a narrow wooden plank less than a meter wide on four diagonally placed round wooden legs. On the left of the page is an unfinished sketch of a sitting man. He is wearing a cap and has a beard.
