They are all wearing a wrap skirt (redda), pleated in the Sinhalese style and tucked in at the waist. Over this, they wear a wide Portuguese blouse with a V-neck and long sleeves (hatte). All three wear a long headscarf that hangs down their backs. On top of their heads, each wears a thick, fabric-wrapped carrying ring. The woman on the left has placed her right hand on it.
