Large trees and foliage appear in the foreground between the two scenes, partially obscuring parts of the lower cityscape. Small figures of people and horses appear on land near the water, and several clustered buildings with domes or towers are visible near the riverbanks. Decorative cartouches with heraldic shields are positioned near the top center and between the two scenes. The engraving is monochrome with finely hatched shading and detailed line work throughout.
