View of Rosersberg Castle, Arx Rosersberg, Suecia Antiqua et Hodierna, print, album page, printmaker: Nicolas Perelle, supervision: Erik Jönssen Dahlberg, 1670 - 1674, paper, etching, height 212 mm x width 343 mm, housing, Sigtuna, Slot Rosersberg, A detailed engraved view of a large formal building seen from above with a central courtyard and flanking wings, the façade showing multiple windows, decorative gables, and a central arched entrance with steps. The courtyard contains small groups of people and a rider on horseback, and a tall ornamental cupola or tower rises near the middle of the composition. Symmetrical parterre gardens and patterned walkways extend behind the building, with geometric beds, clipped trees, and circular planting areas. Two ornate heraldic shields with ribbons and crowns are positioned in the upper corners, and a ribbon-like banner arches across the top. Dense clusters of trees frame the scene at the left and right edges, and rows of smaller buildings or pavilions line the sides of the courtyard. The engraving is executed in fine line work with crosshatching and detailed textures.
