Together with four other series, it forms the large series: 'Il nuovo teatro di Roma moderna'., city-view, and landscape with man-made constructions, hotel, i.e. small palace in city, Palazzo Spada, A wide, detailed engraving shows a large rectangular palace with a decorated upper façade and a rusticated lower level, occupying a broad open square. The palace has rows of evenly spaced windows and ornate reliefs and garlands between the upper windows, with statues and architectural embellishments along the roofline. In the square in front of the palace there are small groups of people walking and conversing, a horse-drawn carriage with figures around it, and another horse-drawn vehicle at the far right. Flanking streets and adjoining buildings frame the square, and distant architectural elements and domes are visible on the horizon. The sky is filled with fine horizontal line engraving and a few stylized clouds.
