Middle Eastern city; graphic artist Dominik Witke-Jezewski (1862–1944); after 1900; graphic plate/graphic matrix; graphic; height 14.7 cm, width 18.2 cm, thickness 0.4 cm., The image shows a rectangular metal plate with an engraved scene of a village landscape. The surface displays a range of brown and copper tones with darker brown areas creating contrast; there are hints of black in the upper sky area and some muted gray along the outer border. The engraving depicts a group of flat-roofed buildings clustered across the middle of the plate, a few larger rectangular structures in the foreground, and textured terrain with etched vegetation and shrubs. The sky area above the village is filled with horizontal engraved strokes, and the lower margin shows a darker, more densely engraved foreground. The plate rests against a pale neutral background, and small metal supports are visible at the bottom edge.
