Mater Dei; Mary (mother of Jesus Christ) with Jesus Christ; graphic artist, Lohojsk; Tyszkiewicz, Konstanty (1806–1868). Engraving made in the stippled etching technique — drawing with the sharp tip of a needle on the varnish covering a copper plate (the punctures reach the surface of the plate) then the etching matrix; a few etching lines visible in the hair of both figures. Etched inscription. 1st quarter of the 19th century. Graphic matrix/plate. Height 16 cm, width 15.6 cm., A worn rectangular metal plate with rounded corners occupying most of the frame, showing a mottled surface of brownish copper and dark blackened patches, with areas of reddish-brown and hints of gray; the plate has uneven dark stains and speckles across it, lighter metallic gleams near the edges, and a small decorative paper label affixed near a top corner; the background surrounding the plate is a flat light gray.
