Denarius, Septimius Severus (Roman Emperor; 146–211) — iconography: tripods; emperor standing in front of a tripod. Obverse: SEVERVS AVG, head of Septimius Severus with laurel wreath facing right, pearl rim. Reverse: RESTITVTOR VRBIS, emperor in laurel wreath and military dress with cloak over his left shoulder stands straight, head turned left; in his right hand he holds a patera over a burning tripod, in his left hand he holds a spear with the point downwards, pearl rim. Date: 200–201. Roman Empire (27 BC–476), Rome. Coin: diameter 19.0–19.5 mm, weight 2.55 g.
