Denarius of Commodus (reigned 177–192). Obverse: head of Commodus in laurel wreath facing right, inscription AEL AV, L, MM, P FEL. Reverse: bust in lion skin or club in the middle of a wreath; inscriptions including HER - CVL / RO -, / , - G horizontally in both fields. Iconography: wreaths, clubs, lion skin (attribute). Date: 191–192. Roman Empire (27 BC–476), Rome. Coin: diameter 16.0–17.0 mm, weight 2.90 g, axis 180°.
