Denarius featuring Faustina the Younger (ca. 130–176; Roman empress 161–176) and Marcus Aurelius (121–180; Roman emperor 161–180). Obverse: Bust of Faustina II in drapery facing right, legend 'FAVSTINA - AVGVSTA'. Reverse: Ceres seated in a veil on a basket (cista) facing left, holding ears of corn in her extended right hand and a short torch in her left, legend 'C - RES' (iconography: Roman deities, ears of corn, torches). Date: 161–176. Roman Empire, Rome. Coin; diameter 17.5–19.0 mm, weight 2.60 g, axis 15°.
