Denarius of Marcus Aurelius (121–180; Roman emperor 161–180). Obverse: head of Marcus Aurelius with a laurel wreath to the right, inscription TONINVS AVG. Reverse: personification of Armenia in a short robe, trousers and a pointed cap, seated left, supporting her head with her right hand, left hand on a bow and a quiver, with a shield and a standard (vexillum) before her; inscription PM TR P XVIII IMP II COS III and legend ARMEN. Date: 163–164. Rome, Roman Empire. Coin, diameter 16–17 mm, weight 2.60 g, axis 180°.
