Denarius, Marcus Aurelius (121–180; Roman emperor 161–180), issuer Marcus Aurelius. Obverse: Head of Marcus Aurelius with laurel wreath to the right, inscription NERVS AVG (NT, NINVS AVG noted). Reverse: Armenia personified, short robe, trousers and pointed cap, seated left, supporting her head with her right hand, left hand resting on a bow and quiver, a shield and a standard (vexillum) in front; inscriptions PM TR P XVIII IMP II COS III, in section ARMEN. Date: 163–164. Roman Empire, Rome. Coin; diameter 17.0 mm, weight 3.24 g, axis 180°. Icons: personification, quivers, shields, bows, vexillum; iconography of Marcus Aurelius and Armenia.
