Obverse: Head of young Marcus Aurelius without a covering to the right, inscription “AVRELIVS CAES - AR AVG PII FIL.” Reverse: Genius (Genius Exercitus) standing left, holding a patera above an altar in his right hand and a legionary sign in his left, inscription “TR POT VIII - C, S II.” Iconography: Genius Exercitus (personification), Marcus Aurelius (heir to the throne), personifications, altars, paterae, legionary symbols.
