Denarius, Marcus Aurelius (121–180; Roman emperor 161–180), issued ca. 149–150. Obverse: Head of young Marcus Aurelius without a cap to the right, inscription 'AVRELI AESAR ANT-ONINI AV, PII FIL'. Reverse: Clementia (personification) stands frontally, head turned left, holds a patera in her right hand and with her left lifts the hem of her robe; inscription 'R POT IIII - COS II' with control marks 'CL, M' in a section. Personifications; paterae. Roman Empire (27 BC–476), Rome. Coin: silver denarius; diameter 17.5–18.0 mm; weight 2.80 g; axis 180°.
