Denarius, posthumous issue for Faustina the Elder (98–141; Roman empress 138–141), struck under Antoninus Pius (86–161; Roman emperor 138–161), issuer Antoninus Pius. Obverse: Bust of Faustina I in drapery facing right, legend DIVA • FAVSTINA around. Reverse: Providentia standing left, holds a globe in her outstretched right hand and a windblown veil, legend AETER•NITAS around. After 141 CE, Roman Empire (27 BCE–476 CE), Rome. Coin; diameter 17.0–17.5 mm, weight 3.05 g, axis 180°.
