Denarius, posthumous issue for Faustina the Elder (98–141; Roman empress 138–141), struck under Antoninus Pius (86–161; Roman emperor 138–161) as issuer. Obverse: bust of Faustina I draped, facing right, inscription DIV FAVSTINA around. Reverse: Providentia standing left, holding a globe in her outstretched right hand and a windblown veil, inscription AETERNITAS around. After 141, Roman Empire (27 BC–476), Rome. Coin: diameter 16.0–18.0 mm, weight 2.70 g, axis 0°.
