Denarius, posthumous issue of Faustina the Elder (98–141; Roman empress 138–141), issuer Antoninus Pius (86–161; Roman emperor 138–161). Obverse: bust of Faustina I in drapery facing right, inscription D IVA - FAVSTINA around. Reverse: Ceres in a veil stands left, holding ears of corn in her outstretched right hand and a long torch in her left, inscription C - E - RES around. Iconography: Roman deities, Ceres; ears of corn and torches. After 141 CE, Rome, Roman Empire (27 BCE–476 CE). Coin; diameter 16.5–17.5 mm, weight 3.40 g, axis 165°.
