Denarius of Lucius Verus (issuer) and Marcus Aurelius (issuer), posthumous image of Antoninus Pius (86–161; Roman emperor 138–161). Obverse: Head of Antoninus Pius bare, with drapery on the left shoulder, inscription DIVVS ANTONINVS. Reverse: Funeral pyre with four tiers, decorated with garlands and statues, topped by a quadriga, inscription CONSECRATIO. After 161, Roman Empire (27 BC–476), Rome. Silver coin, diameter 17.0 mm, weight 2.95 g, axis 180°.
