Denarius of Antoninus Pius (86–161; Roman emperor 138–161). Obverse: Head of Antoninus Pius in a laurel wreath facing right, inscription ANTONINVS AVG PI - VS PP, RP XVIII around. Reverse: Fortuna standing right; in her right hand she holds a long rudder leaning against a globe, in her left hand she holds a cornucopia, inscription C OS - IIII around. Iconography: personifications—Fortuna, horns of plenty, rudder, globe. Date: 154–155. Culture/place: Roman Empire, Rome. Medium/function: coin. Measurements: diameter 17.0–17.5 mm, weight 2.85 g, axis 180°.
