Denarius of Trajan (53–117; Roman emperor 98–117). Obverse: head of Trajan right, decorated with a laurel wreath; rim inscription. Reverse: Pax standing left in a long robe with draperies, holding a torch in her right hand with which she ignites a pile of armor and shields lying in front of her, and a cornucopia in her left hand; rim inscription SPQR OPTIMO PRINC; in the legend the word 'PAX'. Damaged coin, a piece detached. Date: 103–111. Roman Empire (27 BC–476). Rome. Coin; weight 3.24 g.
