Posthumous portrait of George William Hohenzollern (Elector of Brandenburg; Duke of Prussia; 1620–1640), commemorative coin by Daniel Koch (fl. 1645–1676). Obverse: beneath the ducal mitre a nine-field coat of arms; at the bottom the letters D - K divided by a shield. On the rim between the fields an inscription divided by the mitre, beginning with a rosette and ending with the mint master's mark GEOR:WIL:D:G:MAR:BRA:S:, :I:ARC:E, EL:D:P. Reverse: in the border an inscription in six lines NAT./CI)I)XCV/RER.POTIT./CI) I)CXIX/EXCESSIT./CI)I)CXL, 1640. Ducal Prussia (1525–1701), Königsberg. Coin, diameter 31.8 mm; weight 7.11 g; axis 180°.
