Bracteate, c. 1135–1138. Obverse in a pearl border: on the left, facing right, a kneeling prince shown in profile with hands outstretched toward a standing bishop. The bishop, identified as St. Adalbert, wears liturgical vestments, holds a crosier in his left hand and rests his right hand on the prince's head. Linear rim inscription +BLAV. Romanesque style, Middle Ages. Iconography: kneeling prince, gesture of protection, crosier, martyrs. Attributed to Boleslaw III Wrymouth (Prince of Poland; 1086–1138 / 1107–1138). Poland, Gniezno/Kraków. Coin (bracteate). Diameter 24.1–25.3 mm; weight 0.25 g.
