Bracteate depicting Boleslaw III Krzywousty (Prince of Poland, 1107–1138). In a pearl border, on the left side facing right, a kneeling prince shown in profile with hands outstretched toward a bishop standing before him. Dressed in liturgical vestments, St. Adalbert (ca. 956–997) holds a crosier in his left hand while his right hand rests on the prince's head. Around the rim, in a linear border, is the inscription +SALREBLBOLEZLAV. Romanesque style; crosier and gesture of protection iconography; martyrs; liturgical vestments. Date ca. 1135–1138. Coin (bracteate), Poland (Gniezno/Kraków). Diameter 27.0–28.6 mm; weight 0.66 g.
