Denarius, Boleslaw III Krzywousty (prince of Poland; reign 1107–1138). Obverse: in the beaded border, a knight in chain mail thrusting a spearhead into the jaws of an upside-down dragon. Reverse: in a triple beaded border, an isosceles cross topped with balls; between its arms, one ball (two of them with one dot). Allegorical imagery: knights, dragons, fight between good and evil, martyrs, Adalbert (Saint; ca. 956–997), fight against pagans. Motifs: spearhead (issue mark), equal-armed cross, chain mail, mouths. Romanesque style. Attributed Jastrzebowski, Stanislaw (1898–1980). ca. 1125–1138, Kraków, Poland. Coin. Diameter 12.3–12.6 mm.
