Lithuanian trojak, Sigismund II Augustus (king of Poland; 1544–1572); maker: Gabriel Tarlo (ca. 1486–1565); dynasty: Jagiellonians. Silver coin (trojak), 1563, Grand Duchy of Lithuania (Vilnius). Obverse: under the crown a tied monogram composed of the letters SA, flanked by the year 15 - 63; rim inscription: .SIGIS.AVG.DGREX - PO.MDLIT. Reverse: under the ducal mitre a shield with the Lithuanian Pahonia (Pogon) and the value III; rim inscription: GROSS.AR.TRIP.MAG.DVCA.LI. Features: royal monograms, tied monograms, coats of arms (Topór and Pogon). Diameter ~20.7–21.0 mm; weight 2.89 g.
