Denarius, Boleslaw III Krzywousty (prince of Poland; 1086–1138). Obverse: in the beaded border, a knight in chain mail thrusting a spearhead into the jaws of an upside-down dragon. Reverse: in the triple beaded border, an isosceles cross topped with balls; between its arms one ball (one dot on each). Iconography: spearhead, chain mail, equal-armed cross, jaws, knight, dragons, martyrs, fight between good and evil, fight against pagans, Adalbert (Saint; ca. 956–997). Romanesque style. ca. 1125–1138. Poland, Kraków. Coin. Diameter 12.9–13.6 mm. Weight 0.37 g.
